| backlight | Shoot a subject with the light behind you or in diffused light. |
| Silhouette | back-lit |
| Depth of field | Z-axis. sense of depth |
| leading lines | Leading lines are lines within an image (sometimes perspective lines) that leads the eye to the subject. They create interest. |
| Rhythm | A regular or harmonious pattern created by lines |
| Texture | used to describe the visual "feel" of a two-dimensional work(photography) |
| Line | the eye will tend to follow lines,real or implied. |
| Pattern/ Shape | A repeated decorative design. |
